Tara Mild

Co-Director of Restore Native Plants Administrative Lead

Tara’s enthusiastic attitude and multidisciplinary skillset have made her an instrumental team member at Restore Native Plants, where she serves as Administrative Lead and Co-Director. She first connected with RNP as a teenager, volunteering in the organization’s early days by helping remove invasive species. Having witnessed RNP grow over the years, she is now thrilled to be part of the team, using her skills in administration and operations to support the team and the organization’s mission.

Tara joins RNP with a robust background in education, having developed a passion for advocacy and lifelong learning. As a former elementary school teacher, she used an interdisciplinary approach to teach students about physical science, local New Jersey history, and what it means to be an active member of a community. In both roles, she has applied her skills in organization, clear communication, and fostering collaboration, translating classroom experience into effective management and team support. Now, Tara utilizes her expertise in program development, data analysis, and community engagement to manage our programs and operations, ensuring that projects run efficiently while advancing RNP’s mission to protect and restore native ecosystems across northern New Jersey.

Drawing on her interdisciplinary experience, Tara fosters collaboration within the team and across communities, agencies, and other partners to support RNP’s mission and conservation efforts. She believes that effective leadership and education go hand in hand in creating meaningful environmental impact. Outside of her professional work, Tara enjoys traveling and hiking the U.S. National Parks, bringing the same curiosity and passion to her personal life that she does to her work at Restore Native Plants.

Dr. Benjamin M. Burton

Oakland, New Jersey

Dear Dr. Burton,

Thank you for sharing your views on energy and environmental policy.

My Administration is strongly committed to environmental protection, including keeping our air and water clean and being good stewards of our environment. This requires all of us to do our part, and I want to thank you for your commitment to preserving our environment for future generations.

As we continue to protect our environment, we must also ensure that American workers have greater opportunities to provide for their families. That is why my Administration is also committed to protecting American workers and American companies from unnecessary regulatory burdens. Going forward, regulations must balance our stewardship of the environment with the needs of a growing economy.

Thank you again for sharing your views. As President, I am committed to unleashing America’s economic potential, while also protecting the environment. I am confident that together we can preserve America’s natural blessings for future generations.

Sincerely,
